Washington finds place of honor
NEW HOME: A marble bust of George Washington was unveiled on Friday, his 287th birthday, during a special reception in City Council Chambers at the Washington Municipal Building. Donated by Washington Area Historical Foundation President Don Stroud, the Washington’s stately visage will look out over the city of his namesake in perpetuity from a balcony on the second story of the Municipal Building.
