Join the Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft and the Tyrrell County Public Library staff on Saturday, March 9th from 1 to 4 p.m.for a beer brewing demonstration. Come learn about the process of brewing beer and some of the rich history foaming at the top of this delicious hobby! Learn what it takes to start brewing delicious batches in your home and grow what you need in your garden to make a beer that is unique to Tyrrell County. Learn how to choose your own ingredients, the equipment you need, what resources are out there to get started, and the requirements for sanitary food handling. While swirling through the art of beer making, learn to work with clay and make your own coaster to rest that delicious glass of ale upon! Supplies are limited for this pottery portion of the event, so it will be based on a first-come, first-served system. The brewing demonstration itself is open to the public and all are welcome to attend, ask questions, observe, and participate. Participants must be 21 or older to attend this event..
