Right now, at the Pungo Unit of Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge there are hundreds of Mallards and Tundra Swans. Mallards are omnivores. Some of their diet includes, aquatics plants, seeds, insect larvae, worms, freshwater shrimp & snails. Refuge roads may be challenging. Please keep an eye out for potholes, extreme muddy sections and other road hazards.
