James Clark Tyson

Mr. James Clark Tyson, age 67, a resident of 57 North Asbury Church Road, Washington, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, and will be conducted by his nephew, Brian Warren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Tyson was born in Jones County on March 30, 1951 to Grace and Gordon Tyson. He attended Washington High School, proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and retired as the owner and operator of Tyson Boat Repair.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Tyson; his mother, Grace Clark Tyson; daughter, Scarlette Renee Tyson; son, Daniel Tyson and wife Patsy; daughter, Crystalline Harris and husband James; daughter, Candice Bell; brother, David Wayne Tyson and wife Karen. James was lovingly referred to as Grandpa and Papa to Justin Tyson, Amberly Keech, Bryanna Summers, Hunter Summers, Kamron Harris, Mercedes Harmon, Stormy Bell, four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Marion Tyson; two brothers, Gordon Marion Tyson, Jr. and Bobby Lawrence Tyson; and son, Aydrian Richardson.
