Eating the Med Way to Prevent T2

Samantha Combs of Martin-Tyrrell-Washington District Health Department is conducting a year-long program called Prevent T2 and aimed at those at risk for Type 2 diabetes.
Guest speaker at the March 18 session will be Dee Furlough, Family & Consumer Sciences Extension Agent with Tyrrell and Dare counties. She’ll teach a hands-on cooking class to help prevent diabetes by eating the Mediterranean way.
The class is free, but you need to contact Combs at 252-793-1750 to register for the class.
The session is set for 5:30 PM, March 18, in the Extension Center on Martha Street in Columbia.
