Octavus R. Wallace, Sr.

Mr. Octavus “Toby” Ray Wallace, Sr., age 85, a resident of Pinetown, died Thursday, March 21, 2019, at his home.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the Wallace Family Cemetery in Pinetown and will be officiated by Bobby Owens. Pallbearers include his grandchildren, Terence Wallace, Chase White and Hayden White. Alan Biggs, Dallas Foreman, Jr. and Chubby Woolard will also serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Wallace was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 13, 1933, to the late Finnie Octavus Wallace and Ollie Inez Pearce Wallace. He was a graduate of Bath High School class of 1952. On March 28, 1954, he married Neva Pearl Woolard. Mr. Wallace was farmer all his life and a lifelong member of Shiloh FWB Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Neva W. Wallace, of the home; three children, Ted Wallace and wife Faye, Octavus R. Wallace, Jr. and wife Cindy, Janet White and husband Brent; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 23, 2019, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh FWB Church, 1509 Biggs Road, Pinetown, NC 27865.
