The National Weather Service has extended a severe thunderstorm warning and tornado watch for northwestern Beaufort County until 2:45 p.m.

Sixty mph wind gusts have been recorded with this storm, which can potentially cause damage to roofs, siding and trees.

Locations that could be impacted include Washington, Williamston, Plymouth, Old Ford, Jamesville, Smithwick, Everetts, Dardens and Beargrass.
