Alpha Omega Chapter (Beaufort/Hyde counties) of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International hosted a Regional Spring Meeting and Luncheon on April 13 at First Christian Church in Washington. Eta State (North Carolina) President Connie Savell; state treasurer Ruth Jones; and state webmaster Beth Winstead were guest speakers. Regional directors, Rhonda Allen, representing Region 1, and Veda McNair, Region 2, were also guests of honor. Attendees enjoyed a coffee hour/meet-and-greet session with the state president and others, followed by the guest speakers’ presentations, and culminating with a delicious meal prepared by the church’s mission committee. Chapter President Linda Beddard conducted the morning’s proceedings. DKG chapter members all over eastern North Carolina were invited to attend the gathering. Paula Stephenson from the Washington Tourism Development Authority extended an invitation to the attendees to experience the variety of Washington’s shopping and scenic opportunities while they were in town.
