Regrettably, a recent report in these pages, headlined “Columbia’s 5-year plan moves forward”, incorrectly identified the NC Rural Center (a nonprofit organization) as a participant with local officials and citizens in the development of the plan. Columbia will be getting its assistance from the Main Street and Rural Planning Center within the NC Department of Commerce (a state agency).
