Mollie Stotesberry Harrison, 67, of the Ponzer Community, died Monday, May 27, 2019, at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

Born in Beaufort County, April 10, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Morris Stotesberry. She was married to John Melvin “Butch” Harrison, Jr., who survives.

She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019, at the family plot in Davis Cemetery. Mike Cayton will officiate.

In addition to her husband, surviving is a son, Melvin Harrison and wife Victoria, of Roper; a daughter, Joanna H. Logan and husband Tracy, of Belhaven; six grandchildren, Brittany Logan, Gabby Logan, Destiny Harrison, Mackenzie Harrison, Dakota Harrison and Madison Harrison; one great-grandchild, Bailey Logan; two brothers, Wilbur Stotesberry, of West Point, Virginia, Gilbert Stotesberry, of Belhaven; and one sister, Geraldine Cale, of Colerain.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Burley Stotesberry and Roland Stotesberry; and a half-sister, Nelly Gray Knight.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service and at other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to go toward medical expenses.
