Mr. Elmo Lee Sullivan, 84, of Macon, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019.
The family will have a time of visitation June 7, 2019, from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mt. Pleasant Church Road. A memorial service will immediately follow, with Pastor Ed Chambliss and Rev. John Dell officiating.
Mr. Sullivan was born in Bath on June 30, 1934. In his early years, he spent most of his time bowling, which was a favorite pastime for him. Then at the age of 23, Mr. Sullivan joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country. After the Air Force, he spent his career working with the railroad and retired after 40-plus years. He remained active, however, constantly working with his hands, gardening, riding his beloved lawnmower every day, as well as being a Mason. He loved his family, the good Lord and fishing.
Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Moye Sullivan and Sarah Adelaide Boyd Sullivan; and brothers, Joseph Sullivan, Lewis Henry Sullivan and Cecil Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife, Hazel B. Sullivan; his daughters, Pam Hauck (Jeff) and Cathy Daniels (Bryan); grandchildren, Preslee Fullington, Leigh Martin (Jamie) and Brittany Daniels; great-grandchildren, Avery Martin and Grayson Martin; brothers, Lester Sullivan (Carolyn), Larry Sullivan (Barbara) and Gary Sullivan; sisters, Janice Wright and Mildred Waters.
