Northeast Elementary and P.S. Jones Middle dish out sports awards

WASHINGTON — P.S. Jones Middle School Assistant Principal Anthony Bailey presented the Male and Female Athlete of the Year at the Awards Ceremony Tuesday morning.

Dawson Mitchell, son of Keith and Carla, received the PSJ Male Athlete of the Year. Dawson excelled this past year by receiving the football Highest Academic Average, as well as participating on the wrestling and baseball teams.

Ava Shae Mizell, daughter of Mike and Elizabeth Mizell, received the PSJ Female Athlete of the Year award. Ava Shae Mizell has been recognized with the Hustle Award in volleyball. She also received MVP for softball, and helped lead the team to the conference championship.

 

PINETOWN — Awards are coming in for many schools in the area, which includes Northeast Elementary School’s softball and basketball banquets. Listed are the awards for each student-athlete in each of the two sports.
