From the P.S. Jones Alumni Association

Residents of our area are in for a real treat. The Elizabeth City State University marching band will be the featured attraction at the Biennial Homecoming Weekend for the P.S. Jones High School Alumni. The alumni weekend will be August 9 to 11 with a parade on August 10 at 10 a.m. The Marching Vikings will be among many entrants participating in the parade. The band is known for its precision movements and high-energy drill. This will be the first visit to Washington by the band since the 1960s.

Washington residents are invited to view the parade as it moves along its route from the former Washington High School front parking lot, traveling along Seventh Street to Pierce Street. It will move along Pierce Street to 13^th Street and then to Bridge, ending at the entrance to the P. S. Jones Memorial Park.
