Mr. Wylie Allen “Gator” Roper, 74, a resident of Bath, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, at Athens Chapel Church of Christ, 3407 N.C. Highway 92 East, Bath. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington.
