Alma Marie Whitaker, 90, of 3249 U.S. Highway 264 East, Belhaven, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at River Trace Rehabilitation Center, Washington. A funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at noon at St. James Church of Christ, 358 W. Old County Road, Belhaven. Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery, Belhaven. Visitation also will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, the L.R. Memorial Chapel, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and again Saturday at 11 a.m., one hour prior to service at the church. Other times the family will receive friends at the home.
