Evelyn Gurganus Phelps, 89, of Plymouth, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, at her residence in Plymouth. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church, with Pastor Jimmy Elks officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday after the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
