Margaret Elizabeth Greulich Franklin

Margaret Elizabeth Greulich Franklin, age 80, passed away quietly on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019. She was a daughter of the late Reinol Greulich and Margaret Millard Greulich, of Passaic, New Jersey. She was the widow of the late Anthony Franklin.
“Peg,” as she was known, was very active in the Zion Church and delivered for Meals on Wheels. She volunteered at the Blind Center of North Carolina in Washington and every Christmas she knitted hats and scarves for The Seaman’s Church Institute. Peg loved her plants and gardening and was an accomplished Master Gardener.
She is survived by her two sons, Christopher Franklin and his wife, Cathy Schindler, of Cornelius, and Andrew Franklin and his wife, Vauntina, of Ashland, Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Margaret and Matthew Franklin, of Ashland, Massachusetts. In addition to her parents, and husband, she is predeceased by her sister, Lois Jackson.
Peg will be sincerely missed by her community and her family. A Celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Zion Episcopal Church in Washington, with a reception to follow immediately in the Fellowship Hall next to the church.
