Mr. James Edward “Jimmy” Keel, age 54, a resident of 1383 Dixon Road, Chocowinity, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, at his home.

Private services will be held.

Mr. Keel was born in Pitt County on Nov. 12, 1964. He was the son of Bobbie “Jean” Ricks Keel Lewis and the late Paul Alvin Keel. Mr. Keel had resided at his current residence since 1991. He enjoyed hand puppets and fellowshipping with food.

Mr. Keel is survived by his mother, Jean R. Lewis, of Chocowinity; brother, Randy Keel, of Chocowinity; three sisters, Sue Keel Smith (Randy), of Chocowinity, Jeanene Keel Matkins (John), of Washington, Shelley Lewis Melton (Ted), of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
