Harvey Case, Vidant Beaufort Hospital president, announced he is leaving Vidant Health, effective mid-to-late January, after accepting a new leadership position as chief executive officer for Carteret Health Care. Harvey has been a respected leader at Vidant for more than 20 years and will be missed. During his tenure as president at Vidant Beaufort, Harvey has been mission-focused and committed to serving his team, patients and community. Since 2011, more than $50 million has been invested in the hospital, including the recent expansions of the emergency department and cancer center.

“It has been my honor and privilege to have worked with our health system from its beginning to where we are today,” Case said. “Throughout my career with Vidant Health and especially here at Vidant Beaufort, I have been blessed with great opportunities and experiences, but what I have valued most have been the friends and relationships that I have made along the way.”
