From Richland Seniors of Aurora

The Richland Seniors met Nov. 5. Vice President Terri Mathais opened the meeting, John Lennox gave the devotion, and led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Lord’s Prayer. The roll was called and minutes read, the treasurer’s report was given.

Our guest today were members of the Disabled American Veterans. They presented a very interesting demonstration of how to dispose of a worn, tattered American flag. We were impressed. We wish all of you could have seen this presentation — it was done with respect and love for our American flag. Our many thanks to a large group of DAV members from our area visiting with us.

Plans for the upcoming Seniors Christmas party were discussed, and will be finalized at the December meeting. The meeting was adjourned. John Lennox blessed the food and fellowship with the DAV was enjoyed by all.
