School of Art and Design to hold holiday art sales

GREENVILLE — East Carolina University’s School of Art and Design has scheduled its annual art and glass ornament sales in the coming weeks to kick off the holiday season. The events are open to the public.
Nov. 21-23, ECU School of Art and Design students, through its Visual Arts Forum, will have artwork for sale on the first floor of the Main Campus Student Center, 501 E. 10th St., Greenville. Parking is available in the adjacent parking deck for $1 per hour.
Hours will be noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Items will include paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewelry and more.
Proceeds from the sale benefit ECU students and student guilds.
On Dec. 6, the school has scheduled its annual glass ornament sale from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the East Carolina ArtSpace gallery, 3747 S. Main St., Farmville. The event will coincide with A Taste of Farmville celebration.
Hundreds of hand-blown glass holiday ornaments in many styles and colors, as well as vases, tumblers, soap dishes and other glass work made at ECU’s GlasStation will be for sale.
All proceeds from the sale will support the operation of the studio and glassblowing instruction at ECU.
