Janie Louise Whitehurst Matthews, 76, of Hassell Road, Robersonville, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Sonny Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home of Williamston.
