Judith Gautier Everette

Mrs. Judith Gautier Everette, age 76, a resident of Washington, passed away Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at Ridgewood Manor with her two sons by her side.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at the First Christian Church, 307 E. Third St., Washington, conducted by Dr. Robert Cayton. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Jimmy Walker, Drew Walker, Lane Harris, Nicholas Harris, Woody Everette and Raymond Lawrence.

Mrs. Everette was born in Beaufort County on July 30, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Beverly Gautier and Lillian Scott Gautier. Mrs. Everette graduated from Washington High School and Greensboro Women’s College (now UNC-G). She worked as a secretary for Dr. George Miller for over 30 years.

Mrs. Everette was a member and former deacon of the First Christian Church in Washington. She was secretary of memorial fund and a member of the Church circles. She was a member of the Bridge Club, enjoyed doing needlepoint and collecting sea shells. Mrs. Everette was very active with her grandchildren, attended their activities and ball games.

Mrs. Everette is survived by her two sons, Todd Everette and wife Carrie, and their children, Carson, Colin and Camryn, Greg Everette and wife Tiffany, and their children Logan and Addison, all of Greenville; and her siblings, Sylvia Hadley, of Fayetteville, Beverly Gautier (Pat), of Sanford, Gale Fitts (James), of Washington, Dale Walker, of Washington, Terry Harris (Lane), of Pinehurst.

The family would like to offer special appreciation to Mrs. Everette’s nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
