Holiday activities continue this week at the Turnage Theatre in downtown Washington.

On Friday, The Embers take the stage at 7 p.m. with their Holiday Spectacular concert. Just a few tickets remain — call Arts of the Pamlico or stop by the Turnage Theatre to pick up your tickets today! Concert sponsors include Bragaw Insurance, Frankie Waters, Low Tide Realty and Capt. Joe Sizemore. Sponsors will have a pizza party with the band from 6 to 7 p.m. Front doors to the theatre open at 6:30 p.m. and seating begins at 6:45 p.m.

On Saturday, the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association jams in the Gallery from 10 a.m. to noon. Stop by and listen to the music and paint your own ornament for $5 in our Whimsy Works area in the art café, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Then let your piece of art dry and stay for the holiday movie classic, “Elf,” on the big screen at 2 p.m. Tickets are $7/$5 cash discount.

Just a few shopping days are left! This is the last week before Christmas to purchase handmade chocolates, North Carolina treats and sweets, ornaments, jewelry, scarves, paintings and more at AOP. All merchandise is made by the hands of member artists and art groups. Stop by the Turnage to shop for unique gifts for your friends, colleagues and family. Items will be for sale until 4 p.m. on Dec. 22.

AOP will be closed Dec. 23  through Jan. 1, but wait — the holiday activities aren’t over yet! Come by for jams by the Beaufort Traditional Music Association next week and don’t miss the popular IC Comedy New Year’s Eve, Eve, Eve show. Tickets are $7/$5 cash discount at the door. Concessions will be for sale before and during all events.
