Rotary hears from fisheries lobbyist
SUSTAINABLE: Washington (noon) Rotary Club member Perry Armistead introduced guest speaker Jerry Schill to the club’s Monday luncheon meeting at King Chicken. Schill, North Carolina Fisheries Association’s government relations director, actively lobbies both state and federal policymakers on behalf of North Carolina families who harvest seafood for the enjoyment of others. The NCFA was founded in 1952 to serve fishing families by advocating for sustainable fisheries, preserving fishing heritage and promoting wild-caught North Carolina seafood.
