Ms. Amy Lynn Woolard Brooks, age 52, a resident of Winterville, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at her home.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at the Woolard Family Cemetery, Mill Hole Road, Washington, conducted by Mike Caton.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Carl W. Woolard, William H. Woolard, Jerry L. Woolard, Derek W. Woolard, Ellis “Bill” Woolard and Wayland Alligood. Marty R. Woolard and Stephen K. Woolard will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Ms. Brooks was born in Beaufort County on March 26, 1967. She was the daughter of Harold Wayne Woolard and Joyce Ann Woolard. Ms. Brooks graduated from Bath High School. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide and recently as a hairdresser. Ms. Brooks was a member of Rosemary Church of Christ. She loved “fixing hair” and helping the elderly. In her spare time, Ms. Brooks enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her dog, “Little Man.”

On March 19, 2016, she married William Ernest “Buddy” Brooks, who survives.

Surviving with her husband are her mother, Joyce Ann Woolard, of Washington; her father, Harold Wayne Woolard, of Chocowinity; brothers, Carl W. Woolard and wife Becky, of Bath, William H. Woolard and Jerry L. Woolard, both of Washington; nephews, Stephen K. Woolard, Derek W. Woolard and his wife, Haley, and their daughter, Rhylynn Ann Woolard; the “Love of her Life”, Little Man; stepson, Will Brooks, Jr. and wife Amy, and a step-grandson, Uriah Killian Brooks.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and other times at the home of her mother, Joyce Ann Woolard, 5165 Slatestone Road, Washington.
