James “Sonny” Keyes, 69, of Keyes Road in Blounts Creek, made his peace after his requests, and slipped away into an eternal rest on Feb. 10, 2020, at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Devania Moore-Keyes; his daughters, Donna Foreman and Cherissa Foreman, of Blounts Creek, Hillary Keyes, of Edward; a sister, Joanus (Bunch) Moore, of Blounts Creek; and three granddaughters, Eboni Keyes, Yasmeen Keyes and Jasmine Keyes, all of Edward.

Viewing is scheduled from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at Ortiz Funeral Home, located at 2580 Grand Concourse, Bronx, New York. A local memorial service may be announced at a later date.
