Would you like to learn CPR?

Persons interested in learning CPR are invited to contact the Cooperative Extension Service to participate in a course in this area.

CPR is cardiopulmonary resuscitation, an emergency procedure that combines chest compressions often with artificial ventilation in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest, according to Wikipedia.

“I am working with a CPR instructor and Hyde County EMS to provide a couple of CPR classes in the area,” said Extension ag agent Andrea Gibbs. “They can provide a CPR class with or without CPR certification. If you are interested in participating, please let me know if you would prefer a class with or without certification.”

Gibbs can be reached at 252-926-4488 (Hyde office) or 252.796.1581 (Tyrrell office).
