Mr. Kenneth Leon Page Sr., age 87, a resident of N.C. Highway 33 West, Chocowinity, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at his home.

A private graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington, conducted by Pastor Kevin Woolard and Pastor Henry Horne. Mr. Page’s grandsons will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Page was born in Wilson on Jan. 30, 1933. He was the son of the late Braxton Willie Page and Daisy Belle Nolley Page. Mr. Page served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a policeman for the Town of Chocowinity and East Carolina University. Mr. Page later served as a Constable for Beaufort County. He retired as a carpenter/painter with the Craven County Schools. Mr. Page was an avid UNC Tar Heels fan. He enjoyed fishing with his grandsons in Tranters Creek and singing at church and funerals.

On Sept. 26, 1952, Mr. Page married the former Shirley Buck, who preceded him in death, Sept. 6, 2014.

Mr. Page is survived by his children, Kenneth “Leon” Page Jr. and wife Cindie, of Winterville, Glen Page and wife Pat, of Greenville, Russell Page and Terrie Page, both of Greenville, Randall Page and wife Brenda, of West Virginia; 14 grandchildren, Aaron Page, Monique Page Bennett, Shane Page, Colt Page, Brooke Page, Jeremy Page, Justin Page, Andrew Page, Rusty Page, Derrick Page, James Rogerson, Kevin Rogerson, Brian Page and Brittany Page Mumaw; and 23 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Page was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Gill, Doris Flora and Marcelle Brothers.
