Mr. Jonathan Allen Prechtl, age 49, a resident of Fayetteville, died Friday, March 27, 2020, as a result of an automobile accident.

A graveside funeral service will be held for family members only at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Oakdale Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Rev. Ola Forbes.

Jonathan was born in Craven County on Nov. 6, 1970, son of the late Jonathan Robert Prechtl and Alice Marie Hansley Reed, who survives.

Surviving along with his parents, Alice and William Reed, of Chocowinity, are three brothers, Elvis Prechtl, of Florida, David Reed, of Washington state, and Robert Reed, of Washington state; and a sister, Kelly McCollum, of Chocowinity. Jonathan was preceded in death by his biological father, Jonathan Robert Prechtl, and a nephew, Stone Prechtl.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to the Jonathan Prechtl Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
