From the Town of Columbia
COLUMBIA – The 2019 annual drinking water quality report for the Town of
Columbia water system is now available to the public.
The report is for the 2019 calendar year and provides a snapshot of last year’s drinking water quality. Included are details about where the water comes from, what it contains and how it compares to standards set by state and federal regulatory agencies.
“Our goal is to provide a safe and dependable supply of drinking water,’ said Town
Manager Rhett White. “We want the public to know the efforts we make to improve the water treatment process and protect our water resources.”
Columbia draws its water from the Yorktown Aquifer.
Copies of the 2018 annual drinking water report are available at the town offices located at 103 Main Street, or it can be found on the town’s web site at www.townofcolumbianc.com/ccrreport
