Mr. James David Baynor, age 64, a resident of Apopka, Florida, and a former resident of Beaufort County, died Friday, April 24, 2020.

A graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2020, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington. The service will be officiated by Dennis R. Davis.

Mr. Baynor was born in Beaufort County on Nov. 28, 1955, son of the late Theodore Hardin Baynor, Sr. and the late Mavis Dean Ambrose Baynor Mohorn. He was a 1974 graduate of Bath High School and continued his education at Roanoke Bible College, where he received his bachelor’s degree. At the time of his retirement, he was an accountant with Conolec of Florida. He was a lifelong member of Everetts Church of Christ.

Survivors are a brother, Theodore “Ted” H. Baynor Jr., of Pinetown; nieces, Allison Baynor and her daughters Abigail and Scarlett, of Greenville, Genia Jefferson Martin (Robert), of Columbus, Ohio, Mandy Ashford, of Jacksonville, Florida; a brother-in-law, Rodger Dale Jefferson, of Bath; sister-in-law, Terria Baynor, of Pinetown; two stepsisters, Patricia M. Windley (Gary), of Pinetown, Vicki M. Lewis (David), of Washington; his Florida family, Paul Wainwright, Paul Vincennie, Carol Gladfelter, Danny Arnold and Tommy Crawford. Mr. Baynor was predeceased by a brother, Roger A. Baynor; two sisters, Sylvia Jefferson, Genia Faye Baynor; and sister-in-law, Verma Baynor.

The family will receive friends at the home of Ted Baynor, 14321 U.S. Highway 264 East, Pinetown.
