Mr. James C. “J.C.”Cox III, age 62, a resident of Washington, entered his heavenly home on May 6, 2020.
A private memorial service for the family will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2020, near Havens Gardens.
He was born to James C. Cox Jr. and Patricia A. Cox on Sept. 30, 1957, in Washington. He worked in construction for years until he retired. Described as a simple man, he enjoyed spending time with his dog, Brandy Sue, and could often be seen walking around Washington or stopping in at Rachel K’s Bakery for his favorite pastries. His last year of life was spent to the fullest, catching up with friends and loved ones, being a role model to anyone that desired a positive change in their life and being grateful for all the Lord’s blessings.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa A. Cox and fiancé Jessica, formerly of Washington; his father, James Cox Jr.; his brother, Paul Cox; nephews Jonathan and Brian Cox, of Washington; special friends Michael and Brandy Vinson, of Blounts Creek, and his loyal, canine companion, Brandy Sue.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia A. Cox.
