Mrs. Faye Midgette Edwards, age 72, a resident of Chocowinity, passed away Friday, May 30, 2020, at her home.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2020, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be conducted by Pastor Joe Ange. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Edwards was born June 14, 1947, in Beaufort County to the late Leslie Gray Midgette and Docia Ann Carawan. On Nov. 5, 1966, she married Charlie Elwood Edwards, who survives. She attended Chocowinity High School, was secretary at Edwards Machine and Welding in Chocowinity and was a member of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Charlie E. Edwards; three sons, Donnie Edwards, Charlie Edwards, Timmy Edwards; two brothers, John Thomas Midgette, of Petersburg, Virginia, Leslie Junior Midgette, of Kitty Hawk; two sisters, Elsie Gray Austin and Mary Elizabeth Jordan both of Grandy, Virginia; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Gray Midgette, and one grandchild.
