Barbara Rose Modlin Revels, 75, of Ray Street, Williamston, died Friday, June 12, 2020, at her home.
Mrs. Revels was born on May 27, 1945, in Martin County to the late Galem “Trailer” and Cora Hines Modlin. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church (DOC), the Martin County Genealogical Society and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She loved to read. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Cleophus Revels Jr.
Survivors include daughters, Ann Phelps (Bobby), of Creswell, and Catherine Revels, of Aurora; sons, Joseph “JoJo” Revels (Tammie), of Williamston, and Galem Revels (Tina), of Williamston; sister, Bonnie Modlin Robertson, of Williamston; grandchildren, BJ Biggs, Joey Revels, Amber Revels Stocks, Chris Horton, Jonathan Revels, Kayla Revels, Paige Modlin, Lindsay Goupil; great-grandchildren, Ashlee Horton, Gracie Biggs, Bentley Horton and Quinn Revels, Ana Modlin, Karleigh Riley, Kamryn Riley and Dakota Pierce.
A graveside funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2020, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. John Carawan officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston at other times from the home.
