Scott Young Hudson, 64, of Hillsborough, died Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at his home.

Born in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Roy Young Hudson and Brownie Elizabeth Lee Hudson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Ellen Burden and Cleveland Hudson.

Mr. Hudson was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church and was truly a modern-day disciple for the Lord Jesus Christ. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a lifetime carpenter and enjoyed hobby farming. Scott was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his immediate and religious families.

Surviving are his wife, Denise Perry Hudson, of the home; three sons, Chad Hudson and wife Stacy, Clayton Hudson and Curtis Hudson, all of Hillsborough; a sister, Anne Kennedy (E.J.), of Valdese; a grandson, Brandon Hudson; granddaughter, Amber Champion; sister-in-law, Leigh Mills Apple (Michael), of Washington; nephew, Todd Frisbie; and niece, Erica Burden.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at the Cane Creek Baptist Church, with Dr. Michael Ramsey officiating.
