Mary Helen Warfield Disharoon, age 95, a resident of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and a former resident of Baltimore, Maryland, Ocean City, Md., Pompano Beach, Florida, and Washington, North Carolina, passed away at home on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020.

Mary was born on May 16, 1925, in Baltimore, the daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Blanche H. Warfield.  She was a graduate of Towson High School and Goucher College in Towson, Md.

On Jan. 21, 1949, Mary married the late Wilbur E. Disharoon. While primarily a homemaker, Mary also worked as a realtor in Ocean City and was an enthusiastic member of the DAR, Jamestown Society and the Genealogy Society in Washington, N.C.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Diana D. Eastman and Mary D. Clark, both of Pawleys Island; son, Lawrence E. Disharoon, of Greenwood, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Robert C. Disharoon and her brother Harry Warfield.

Mary will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington in a private ceremony.
