The Swan Quarter Volunteer Fire Department will host a fundraiser lunch and raffle drawing to benefit Bud and Arleen Harris and their family.

The lunch, which will be held on Wednesday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be held at the Swan Quarter Volunteer Fire Department located at 25 Oyster Creek St. in Swan Quarter. The plates will include grilled barbecue chicken, buttered potatoes, green beans, dessert and iced tea and will cost $8. Patrons can eat in the dining room at the fire station or take their plates to go.

In addition to the planned lunch, SQVFD will also host a raffle for a 75 quart capacity Calcutta Renegade cooler filled with fresh seafood. Tickets will be $10 and the fresh seafood included in the raffle consists of shrimp, fresh fish, scallops, soft crabs, fresh crabmeat and soft crab nuggets.

The raffle drawing will occur after the fundraising lunch ends at 2:30 p.m. and those who purchase tickets do not need to be present to win the raffle. For more information regarding the raffle, contact Jeffrey Stotesberry, Chris Williams or Dale Allen Newman.

All proceeds from both events will go toward the Harris family. For more information and updates about the event, visit the Swan Quarter VFD Facebook page or website.
