Mr. Phillip Ray “Phil” Moore, age 76, a resident of River Acres, died Sunday, May 16, 2021 at his home.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2021 at Oakdale Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Ken Hall.
Mr. Moore was born in Beaufort County on August 11, 1944. He was the son of the late Elmer Floyd Moore and Mattie Mildred Godley Moore. Mr. Moore was a retired Sales Manager for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mr. Moore taught his sons the love of boating and fishing and in his spare time, shared with them his passion of designing and remodeling boats. His daughter was his exercise and running partner. Mr. Moore enjoyed Sunday dinners with his family. He and his wife enjoyed going out with friends and being members of their supper club for many years.
In 1969, Mr. Moore married the former Carol “Kay” Walker, who survives.
Surviving with his wife are his daughter, Kelly Lewis and husband, Bowman of Winston-Salem; two sons, Mark Warner Moore and his wife, Jennifer, Wesley Wilkins Moore and his wife, Brooke all of Washington; six grandchildren, Lauren Lewis, Riley Lewis, Owen Moore, Noah Moore, Max Moore, Miles Moore and brother, Don Moore and his wife, Dottie.

Friends are invited to come by Paul Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday to view Mr. Moore’s video tribute and pay their respects.
The family will receive friends at their home following the graveside service.
