From the Pamlico Rose Institute

The Pamlico Rose Institute will host an open house event for women Veterans families Saturday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rose Haven Center of Healing, located at 219 E. 3rd St. in Washington. 

Pamlico Rose Institute is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit that advances wellness and resilience-building  programs for women Veterans as part of a community-based prevention program. The Open  Center offers an introduction to Rose Haven, Pamlico Rose staff and volunteers and the Center  itself and will feature tours, activities, refreshments and other Veteran Service Organizations in  eastern North Carolina.  

Rose Haven Center of Healing is the anchor of Pamlico Rose’s programming and is located in  Washington. NC’s historic district. Along with a barn, a soon to be completed renovation of its  1892 residence, the Center features a half of a block of healing gardens. As the impact of COVID lessens,  Pamlico Rose looks forward to resuming the use of Rose Haven to offer a variety of programs  and activities benefitting women Veterans and their families. The Open Center offers an  introduction to Rose Haven, Pamlico Rose staff and volunteers and the Center itself and will  feature tours, activities, refreshments and other Veteran Service Organizations in eastern North Carolina.
