Mrs. Baird was born in Greenup County KY on January 6, 1943, daughter of the late Add James Poff and the late Frances Marguerite Mayo Poff. She was a graduate of Peterstown High School in Peterstown, WV. On March 6, 1960 she married Roy Matney Lester who preceded her in death on February 19, 2010. She followed her husband wherever his ministry led him as a supportive minister’s wife. Mrs. Lana, first and foremost, loved her God and Savior and her second priority in life was her family, whom she loved dearly. She demonstrated this by her dedication to her church and her family as a homemaker. She was a very creative person who loved embroidery and being a seamstress. Her crafts included pottery and designing tee shirts. Many family and friends received and cherish her handmade gifts. Mrs. Lana was a former member of Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ and a current member of St. Clair’s Church of Christ.
