The shelter is open Mondays through Fridays, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, the shelter will be closed unless an appointment is made before 5:00 p.m. Friday. Animal control officers are at the shelter by 8 a.m. daily. Shelter employees will not answer the phone in the morning due to all staff being hands-on with morning operations. The shelter is located at 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East in Washington. The shelter will be closed to the public for cleaning on the first Wednesday of every month. A dog friendly girl, as well as big and beautiful, Rain, is listed as a 1 year old, blue, Bully-mix. She’s loving and shy but quickly warms up when given attention. She will do best with owners, who will give her lots of exercise on leash or fenced area and inclusion on their outings. Rain, ID No. 0793, is available at the Shelter.

This big boy is already neutered and good to go. Snickers, an American shorthair cat with tan, brown and black tabby stripes and white markings, is handsome and laid back. At 2 years old, he loves attention but also likes his personal space and will do best in a quiet household, where he will be a wonderful addition. Snickers, ID No. 0836 is available at the Shelter.
