Everybody loves a parade.

The Washington High School Homecoming parade returned to downtown Friday afternoon after a year off because of COVID-19.

Floats, cheerleaders, the Marching Pam Pack, members of the homecoming court  and finally the WHS football team moved down Main St. as a cheering crowd lined both sides of the road, waiting for a glimpse of a familiar face or beter yet, a piece of candy tossed from a float.

Farmville Central is the football game opponent at 7 p.m. at Wagner Stadium.
