‘We have great concern for her right now’: Search continues for missing Belhaven teen

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Belhaven Police Department and Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office are continuing their search for 15-year-old May Pagliaro, a missing girl who was last seen on Jan. 25, 2022, at 10:15 a.m. outside her home in Belhaven.
Pagliaro was last seen wearing a pink and white sweatshirt with grey sweatpants, and her long brown hair in a ponytail. She has hazel eyes and stands 5-feet-6-inches tall.
Anyone with information about Mary or her disappearance is are urged to call Belhaven Police Department at 252-943-2242 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 / 1-800-THE-LOST.
Before presenting to the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners during a planning retreat Thursday, Beaufort County Schools Superintendent Matthew Cheeseman urged the public to share any information they have about Pagliaro’s whereabouts.
“At this time we don’t have a lot of details in terms of her whereabouts,” Cheeseman said. “She did not come to school Tuesday morning, and her family, myself and members of the community have great concern for her right now.”
