Mrs. Lou Pinkham Ireland, age 83, a resident of Dan Taylor Road, Washington, died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at her home.
Graveside services were held 2:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2022, at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Pastor Travis Boyd.
Mrs. Ireland was born in Beaufort County on October 19, 1938. She was the daughter of the late William Leatus Pinkham and Lucille Davenport Pinkham. Mrs. Ireland was a retired assembly line worker at Stanadyne. In her spare time, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s ball games and going fishing.
Mrs. Ireland was married to Myran Edward Ireland, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ireland is survived by her daughter, Connie Stancill and husband, Henry of Washington; son Jeffery Ireland and wife, Colleen of Washington; grandchildren, Kevin Stancill and wife, Emily of Washington; Crystal Woolard and husband, Stephen Sullivan of Washington; great grandchildren, Isaac, Patrick, Tucker; brother, William Leatus Pinkham and wife, Cindy of California and three sister-in-laws (whom Mrs. Ireland thought of as sisters) Myrtie Bright, Virginia Elks, and Diana Buck.
The family would like to thank special caregiver, Jackie Jones and Community Healthcare and Hospice for their awesome care.
