Pack will play in Chapel Hill

The Washington High School softball team will play West Stanly for the 2A state championship Friday and Saturday at the Anderson Softball Stadium in Chapel Hill.
Game 1 of the two out of three final series will be at 7 p.m. Friday, with Game 2 at noon Saturday. The final game will be at 3 p.m. Saturday if needed.
The Pam Pack (27-0) won the East title for the first time in school history with a two-game sweep of former conference rival South Lenoir, while the Colts (27-4) swept West Stokes, 5-3 and 13-3 to win the West crown.
West Stanly won the 2A title last year and in 2019. There was no 2020 season because of COVID-19.
