GRIFTON — Mrs. Louise Singleton Midgette, 92, died Friday August 5, 2022. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 2 pm in the Farmer Funeral Chapel in Ayden.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm Tuesday at Farmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Estates in Grifton.
Mrs. Midgette, a native of Beaufort County, had lived in the Grifton Community all her life. She was employed with the Grifton Elementary School until her retirement. She was a member of Grifton First Baptist Church.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Midgette, Jr.; brothers, William, James, and Asa Singleton, Jr.; and sisters, Peggy McLawhorn and Sarah F. Clark.

She is survived by her daughter, Robbie M. Murray and husband, Eddie; son, Steven F. Midgette and wife, Cookie; granddaughter, Amanda J. Thomas-Gibbs; and great-granddaughters, Sophie Grace Gibbs and Zoe Alana Gibbs.
