Mrs. Betty Frances Buck Dixon, age 84, a resident of River Road, Washington, died Saturday, October 15, 2022, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Pastor Darren Walker. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Jerry Dixon, Travis Dixon, Hayden Dixon, Brian Ingalls, Tim Melton, and Andy Melton.

Mrs. Dixon was born in Beaufort County on December 13, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Joseph M. Buck and Julia Moore Buck. Mrs. Dixon spent her time working in the food service for childcare and being a caregiver.  Mrs. Dixon attended First Free Will Baptist Church in Washington, and in her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and knitting.

On March 5, 1955, Mrs. Buck married William Jarvis Dixon, Sr. who preceded her in death on March 20, 2018.

Mrs. Dixon is survived by two sons: William Jarvis Dixon, Jr., his children, Travis and Hannah, Lee Wayne Dixon and his wife Deirdre Thomas Dixon of Bentonville. AR, their daughter, McKenzie Alexandra Dixon, their son, Hayden Thomas Dixon; and grandson Travis Dixon & wife Stephanie and their son Logan Taylor Dixon.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00pm on Tuesday October 18, 2022 at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
