The ladies pictured above just completed the 15-hour Pro Literacy training session to become tutors with the local agency. They are: Tracy Gimpel, Allison Bedsole, Cathy Capogna and Sharon Whitehurst. They studied adult learning theory, language experience approach, phonics, sight words, word families, comprehension, goal setting and lesson planning. They are ready to assist adults who need to improve reading, writing, speaking or math skills.
