The Raiders had a short week last week due to weather and football having a bye week, but all teams came away victorious.

Volleyball: The Raiders defeated Epiphany School for their third consecutive victory to raise their record to 3-2. Autumn Gibbs had a career high 19 kills to go along with two assist and 18 digs in the win. Anna Stoop had a season high 36 assists along with six aces while Allison Sawyer added 12 kills for the Lady Raiders. PCA will open conference play this week when they host Northeast Academy. They will then travel to Ridgecroft School and Kerr Vance Academy to close out the week.

Tennis:  PCA downed Kerr Vance Academy, 5 – 4, for their third consecutive victory to start the season. Kaitlyn Williamson and Reagan Spruill led the Raiders in singles but Pungo continued to struggle in doubles matches as they dropped two out of three matches. PCA will travel to Northeast Academy and Ridgecroft School to open conference play and finish up with an away match at reigning 1A State Champion Oakwood School on Friday.

Soccer, Pungo picked up its first win of the season with a 3 – 1 victory over Mattamuskeet. The score was tied 1 – 1 at the half before the Raiders scored twice in the second half to seal the victory. Colin Crocker and Ryan Rouse each scored their first career goals while Maddox Lee scored his second goal of the year. Lee added two assists while Bruce Taylor also assisted on one of the Raiders three goals. PCA traveled to Mattamuskeet Tuesday before starting conference play on Thursday with a road trip to Ridgecroft School.
